This is a device for expectant parents who would like their unborn child to be the next Beethoven. The Nuvo Ritmo is a prenatal music player which shoots music into the mother’s belly.

The device is a fabric harness that wraps around the mother’s belly with speakers on the top and bottom. The sound system can also be detached and used like an iPod for general music playing purposes.

Now you won’t have to worry that your terrible singing voice will hamper your unborn child’s development, just strap on the Nuvo Ritmo.

The latest Nintendo DSi XL was launch in Japan market sometime this week and had sold 103,524 units in its first two days.

The DSi XL comes bigger in size with two 4.2-inch screens, bigger than its predecessor DS Lite by 93%. Colours available are wine red and dark brown with “a glossy sheen on top and matte finish on the underside that provides excellent grip when resting on a table or other surface during gameplay” says Nintendo.

Thats not all, Apparently the DSi XL will come with pre-loaded  ”Dr Kawashima’s: Little Bit of Brain Training: Arts Edition” and “Dictionary 6 in 1 with Camera Function”.

Price of the product is expected to be slightly more expensive than the DS Lite.

Devastating hi-res pictures of crumbled buildings and debris all over the city of Port-au-Prince after a 7.0 magnitude earth quake hit Haiti on Tuesday, 12th of January 2010.

In the pictures, you can clearly see extensive damages on buildings crushed to the ground as people streaming on the streets trying to find refuge in an open space.

Many people have gone to the oval shape structure in Stade Sylvio Cator, a 30,000-seat soccer stadium which could be the safest place to be now as it has a wide open space far away from any structural buildings.

The image was taken by the GeoEye-1 satellite from 423 miles in space at 10:27 a.m. EST on Jan. 13, 2010.

Compact memory cards such as the MicroSD, SD and moviNAND^TM memory device  are increasing leap and bound in terms of storage capacity but the size of these cards are  either getting smaller or remaining in size.

On Tuesday January 12th, Samsung has announced two high-density memory solutions for mobile devices industry, a 64-gigabyte (GB) moviNAND^TM memory device and a 32GB micro secure digital (microSD) memory card.

Samsung Electronics executive vice president of memory marketing,  Dong-Soo Jun says, “The 64GB embedded memory, moviNAND, and the 32GB microSD card each greatly expand the data storage density of mobile devices, meeting customers’ memory requirements and ushering in a new era of mobile and IT device cap”

The 64GB moviNAND memory device is followed by the existing 32GB, 16GB, 8GB and 4GB options, and measures just 1.4mm thick while still packing 16 30nm-class 32Gb MLC NAND chips and a controller as of its predecessor.

Samsung uses advanced 30-nm class 32Gb NAND flash memory technology for the next in line 32GB microSD card and it is the highest memory capacity for any current  microSD in the market. Apparently, it is being sampled with OEMs and production is expected to begin next month.

What is moviNAND memory device? It is Samsung’s patented memory device mostly meant for internal storage/memory for mobile devices.

If you intend to buy a PC soon, better do it quick as the PC industry might be reversing its 6 years trend of low price PC due to component scarcity says market research masters Gartner. This would surely post as a challenge to manufacturers as they have targeted at releasing cheap notebooks to the market.

The primary cost of the increase would be the memory as the DRAM industry is transitioning between the now DDR2 to the DDR3. It is expected that the DDR3 Ram would go up 23% of the current DDR2 Rams being sold in the market.

Besides that, LCD panels and hard drive prices are also going up as much as 20%. PCs are also likely to cost more due to component shortages after manufacturers cut back on capacity during the economic downturn.

Malaysian, be ready to fork out much more to buy a PC this year.
